HYDERABAD — December 2005:

Solix Technologies Inc. has firmed up plans for tapping more verticals expansion in new markets and incresing its headcount in the next financial year. Solix, a provider of enterprise data management solutions for SME's intends to tap the burgeoning data management market which a Gartner/Meta study expects to grow $4 billion by 2007 from about $100 million at present.

Talking to this newspaper on Thursday, Cheif executive office of Solix, Sai Gundavelli, said, "The market for data management is enormous, be it in e-mail archiving or documentation and other allied segments."

The company, which has development centres in Sunnyvale in the United States and Hyderabad,will raise fresh capital next two years. However the quantum of capital and the mode of
raising instruments have not been finalised yet, according to Mr. Gundavelli.

On the verticals that Solix is looking to tap, Mr. Gundavelli said, " We expect the banking \ and financials, telecom, compliance services and energy sectors besides the ITeS sector to be the major growth-drivers. we are in talks with some prospective clients for new partners in India ad a decision will be taken next year."

With a target of hiring 200-250 employees next year, Mr. Gundavelli has also picked three key
areas for ploughing the capital raised from the market. " Our focus will obviously be on research and development, on which we have already invested $5million, Increasing market presence and alliances with more partners."

For Solix, emerging markets such as South America and Eastern europe hold for newer partners.
"We are in talks with clients from Uruguay, China, France, Mexico and Canada. We will be entering these regions through the partnership route." Mr. Gundavelli noted.
