Founder & CEO

Sai Gundavelli is the Founder and CEO of Solix Technologies, Inc. Mr. Gundavelli is responsible for the company’s overall vision and strategic direction. Under his leadership, Solix Technologies pioneered the concept of Enterprise Data Management, providing the first worldwide infrastructure platform to manage data across all segments of Enterprise Data (Structured and Unstructured).

Mr. Gundavelli has a proven track record in recognizing and quickly responding to the requirements of the high-technology marketplace. Prior to founding Solix Technologies Inc., he spearheaded several strategic initiatives in Enterprise Application areas at companies like CISCO Systems and Arix Corp.

Mr. Gundavelli is a member of the Churchill Club, TIE Charter, and NASSCOM. He is a business and technology thought leader and a distinguished speaker in many forums. He holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from University of Oklahoma and Bachelor’s from Osmania University.

John Ottman

John Ottman

Executive Chairman

John Ottman is Executive Chairman of Solix Technologies, Inc. and brings over 25 years of industry experience. Mr. Ottman is also Chairman and Co-Founder of Minds.com a leader in open source social media.

Previously, Mr. Ottman was President and CEO of Application Security, Inc., President of Princeton Softech, Inc., and Executive Vice President, Worldwide Markets at Corio, Inc.. He also has held key senior management roles at Oracle and IBM.

Mr. Ottman began his career in sales at Wang Laboratories, Inc. where he became a Branch Manager. He then joined Oracle for 10 years serving in various field executive positions including Group Vice President, Industrial Sector. In 1999 Mr. Ottman joined cloud industry pioneer Corio, Inc. as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Markets. At Corio he led the company from the startup phase to an early cloud industry leadership position resulting in an IPO and acquisition by IBM in 2004. He then joined IBM to manage the integration of Corio into IBM Applications on Demand. Later he joined Princeton Softech, Inc., as President, Global Operations. Princeton Softech, Inc., a high growth company and leading provider of enterprise data management software, was also acquired by IBM in 2007. Mr. Ottman then rejoined IBM to run worldwide sales for the IBM Optim product line. In 2008 Mr. Ottman joined Application Security, Inc. and served as President and CEO until 2012. Application Security, Inc., a leader in database security, risk and compliance was subsequently acquired by Trustwave Holdings, Inc.

Mr. Ottman is also author of the database security book, Save the Database, Save the World!. He holds a B.A. from Denison University.

Mark Lee

Senior Vice President, Services

Mark Lee is responsible for building the Managed Services offering at Solix.

Mr. Lee is a senior technology executive with more than 30 years of experience with a track record of successful enterprise application implementations and business transformations. Prior to joining Solix, he worked as Sr. Vice President at BearingPoint where he led their Enterprise Applications practice. During his tenure at BearingPoint, he pioneered the effort to develop a rapid implementation methodology for ERP applications that was widely adopted in the industry.

Prior to BearingPoint, he served as Director of Information Technology for a medical device manufacturing company where he led one of the very first implementations of the Oracle applications.

Mr. Lee holds degrees from The University of Texas and Texas A&M University.

Kishore Gadiraju

Vice President, Engineering

Kishore Gadiraju is Vice President of Engineering and chief architect of the flagship product at Solix. Mr. Gadiraju has 20 years of experience in software Engineering. He has proven track record in building highly effective global engineering teams and rolling out many applications in areas of enterprise data management, master data management and enterprise business analytics.

Prior to joining Solix group, Mr. Gadiraju held management positions at Network Appliance (NetApp) and Sun Microsystems (Sun). During his tenure at NetApp, he was holding key leadership roles in designing, developing, supporting Enterprise Business Analytics and Master Data Management applications. Played key role in defining and evangelising advanced business analytics through machine learning algorithms and AI capabilities. At Sun. Kishore led a global enterprise data warehouse engineering team to enable data integration and reporting services across business units and geo’s.

Kishore holds engineering degree in computer science from Madras University.

Russ Puryear

Russ Puryear is a senior sales executive with more than 25 years of direct and indirect sales experience. Mr. Russ joined Solix Technologies in 2002 as one of the original sales executives and was responsible for leading the sales strategy for many of the major Solix customers including DHL, Social Security Administration, and Honeywell before becoming the US Sales Director.

Prior to joining Solix, Mr. Russ had a successful sales career at various large corporations including Sybase, Informatica and Digital Equipment.

Veena Gundavelli, CFO at Solix Technologies, Inc., also the Founder and CEO of Emagia Corporation, a leading provider of order-to-cash automation solutions. She is a recognized entrepreneur and innovator in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Fintech, and her remarkable contributions have earned her numerous accolades and awards.

Veena's visionary ideas and disruptive technological innovations have greatly influenced the future of finance and order-to-cash processes in the digital age. Notable among her achievements are being named a "Entrepreneur of the Year 2019" Finalist by WIT Silicon Valley, receiving the "Innovator of the Year" award at the Women in IT Awards 2018, twice being honored as the "Trail Blazer of the Year" by the Forum of Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), and being recognized as a "Women of Distinction in Technology" by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. These awards underscore her significant impact and leadership in the industry.

Jim Lee

VP, Data Services

A technology executive with over 30 years of experience across business, strategy, product management, product marketing, application and software development and consulting, Jim’s background includes product strategy development, product lifecycle management, market creation and development, short and long-term product planning, risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, customer consulting and evaluating emerging technologies. Jim was a pioneer in the Data Management and enterprise archiving, helping create the database archiving market.

Prior to joining Solix, Jim was SVP of Product Line Management at Systech where he transformed the market leading serialization product into an integrated platform for brand protection.

Before joining Systech, Jim was the VP, Product Line Management at IBM responsible for Data Lifecycle Management (Optim) , Security & Privacy (Optim/Guardium), Data Integration, Quality and Replication business segments, ranging from developing portfolio and product strategy, market plans, analyst relations and thought leadership to cross functional product lifecycle management with Development, Marketing Communications, Business Development and Sales. Jim joined IBM via acquisition of Princeton Softech.

Prior to joining IBM, Jim was the Vice President of Product Line Management, a member of the CMC and an officer of Princeton Softech. Jim joined Princeton Softech in 1997 and under his direction as the Development Manager, the project teams pioneered and delivered several new releases of Princeton Softech’s industry leading solution for Database Archiving and Subsetting to manage data in production and testing environments. As part of this process, Jim helped to create a new market, transitioning into Enterprise Data Management. He also helped organizations develop and implement database archiving strategies across the enterprise.

Before joining Princeton Softech, Jim was the Director of Repository, Management Services, Security and Software Distribution systems at Seer Technologies responsible for development, product management, QA and consulting services for the business line.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Applications and Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from New York University, College of Business and Public Administrations.

Kalyan Manyam

Kalyan Manyam is the Vice President of Product Marketing at Solix Technologies, responsible for positioning, go-to-market & analyst relations. Previously, as the Director of Cloud at Solix, he played a pivotal role in transitioning the company to a leading Cloud Data Management vendor. He led the successful launch and commercialization of SOLIXCloud, a multi-cloud SaaS Data Management offering.

Before Solix, Kalyan Manyam established and managed a series of successful technology ventures. He was the Founder & CEO of TrueSemantic, a customer experience analytics platform (acquired in 2016) that specialized in helping major e-commerce companies enhance customer engagement and loyalty. In 2012, he launched Mojostreet, a location-based mobile social networking app that garnered over 2 million members and collaborated with more than 1500 retail merchants. This platform gained recognition from industry leaders like Google, Microsoft, and Blackberry. Preceding Mojostreet, Kalyan founded Indyarocks.com in 2006, a prominent social networking platform in India (from 2007 to 2012), which was later acquired by ValueFirst (a Twilio Company). Kalyan's foray into entrepreneurship started in 2000 with Innova Health Systems, a MedTech enterprise dedicated to enhancing healthcare access in India through telemedicine solutions. This venture marked his initial impact in the entrepreneurial space, culminating in its acquisition in 2002.

Kalyan holds a Master's in Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor's in International Business from Osmania University.

Karl-Heinz Hoffmann

Karl-Heinz Hoffmann

VP, Head of SAP Growth and Innovation

Karl Hoffmann, a proven technology strategist based in California, who transforms vision into reality. He is responsible for driving the growth and innovation of SAP Business at Solix Technologies, Inc. leveraging over 25 years of expertise (including 14 at SAP) across pre-sales, post-sales, product management, alliances, and go-to-market.

Before Solix Technologies Inc.:

  • At SAP, held pivotal leadership roles, including SAP Sybase Business, building the partner value engineering function, and driving the adoption of SAP HANA and the SAP Business Technology Platform with software partners. Secured a multimillion-dollar ISV deal with one of the world's largest financial institutions.
  • At SingleStore led the turnaround of the Software Technology Partnership Program, propelling it from 0 to 60 partners in just 6 months.
  • Co-authored a groundbreaking SOA strategy, resulting in BEA's (and later Oracle's) architecture and £64M annual savings for a major UK Telecom.

Karl holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Quantitative Research from the University of South Africa.
