The Problem

The business has more questions than the data team can answer.

Every business unit wants more from their data. Marketing wants customer-behavior cohorts. Operations wants exception monitoring. Finance wants ad-hoc what-ifs. Customer Success wants account-level signal. The pipeline of analytics requests grows faster than any data team can deliver — and the gap between request and delivery is visible at the board level.

The buyer's question

"How do I give the business direct access to enterprise data — without compromising accuracy, governance, or trust?"

What's actually broken

  • Tickets in a queue. A business question becomes a JIRA ticket. The ticket waits. By the time the answer arrives, the question has often moved on.
  • SQL is the bottleneck, not the schema. The data is there. The schema exists. But translating a business question into the right SQL across 1,500+ tables requires someone with deep schema knowledge — and that someone is busy with the next ticket.
  • Reconciliation across structured and unstructured. The numerical answer lives in the warehouse. The context lives in QBR notes, contracts, support tickets, policies. Pulling both takes two separate efforts, two separate teams, and a manual reconciliation step.
  • Generic NL2SQL fails at enterprise scale. Tools that work on toy databases fall apart on real enterprise schemas with thousands of tables, cryptic naming, embedded business rules, and value codes nobody documented.
The Solix solution

Natural-language access, grounded in the Application Knowledge Graph.

Solix solves this with three building blocks working together. The intelligence layer (Data Sense) teaches AI what your enterprise data means. The access layer (Data Ask) lets business users ask questions in natural language. The trust layer (EDG) enforces who sees what — at the data layer, not the user interface.

1

Ask in natural language

"Which EMEA customers are at risk of churn this quarter?" "What's the average days-to-pay by region?" "Why did inventory spike in the Asia-Pacific warehouse last week?" — typed or spoken, the way the business actually thinks about their work.

2

Grounded by the AKG

The Application Knowledge Graph (AKG) encodes the business objects, relationships, terms, and tested query patterns inside your enterprise applications. Answers are accurate because the AKG knows what the data means — not because the LLM guessed.

3

Governed end-to-end

Permission-aware access enforced at the data layer. A finance analyst sees only what their role allows. Every answer is auditable; every query is logged. EDG runs underneath as the active trust control plane.

What makes it different

Hybrid Query — one question across data and documents.

Generic NL2SQL tools answer questions about rows in a database. Generic RAG tools answer questions about documents. Solix Data Ask does both in a single answer. Ask "which EMEA accounts are at risk and what did Customer Success flag in their last QBR?" — Solix returns the at-risk accounts from the CRM AND the QBR commentary for each, with citations to both sources. Almost nobody in market does this end-to-end.
