Julie Lockner Re-Elected To SNIA Data Management Forum Board of Directors

Solix Technologies vice president and industry veteran re- elected as treasurer of the SNIA Data Management Forum for the second consecutive term

Sunnyvale, California — October 31, 2007 – Solix Technologies, a leading provider of Enterprise Data Management Solutions (EDMS) used by large enterprise customers to manage business critical data, today announced that Julie Lockner, vice president of sales operations, has been re-elected as treasurer for the Storage Networking Industry Association’s (SNIA) Data Management Forum for the second consecutive term. Lockner and Solix’s continued involvement with the SNIA demonstrates the ongoing commitment both organizations have for the promotion of data storage, structured data management and ILM. Lockner’s election was effective October 18, 2007.

“Solix’s participation and focus in data management for database applications help our organization to expand DMF’s perspective and content to include all data types” said Jeff Porter, chairman, Data Management Forum (DMF).>

The SNIA Data Management Forum (DMF) is a cooperative initiative of IT professionals, vendors, integrators, and service providers working to address customer information management issues related to data protection, compliance, cost, and complexity. Areas of focus include promoting standardization, interoperability and the development of best practices, to accelerate the deployment of information lifecycle management, data protection, and long term digital archive storage solutions, that enable customer choice and flexibility. The DMF’s content and materials are available via the SNIA-DMF website (www.snia-dmf.org), and delivered through SNIA tutorials sessions at industry events such as Storage Networking World 2007 and Enterprise Information World 2007.

“I am excited to continue my participation in the DMF. In a recent study conducted by the forum’s 100 Year Archive Task Force, structured content was identified at most risk for long term readability. With Solix’s involvement, we can help to establish best practices for data classification and archiving best practices to address these concerns,” said Lockner. “As a second term member on the Board of Directors, I hope to promote the significance of ILM and data storage best practices for structured content through educational services and tutorials.”

Lockner has more than 12 years experience designing, managing and implementing database applications and is a highly sought after speaker having delivered presentations at Oracle OpenWorld, EMC World, OAUG, EIW and SAPPHIRE.
