Dance with the Penguins

This white paper demonstrates implementation of eBusiness Suite on Linux platform, which is fast becoming the preferred platform for hosting Oracle eBusiness Suite. Presenting a case for migrating your existing costly servers to a more economic Linux environment, the paper outlines the migration path from a non-Linux (IBM AIX, HP-UX, Sun Solaris) system and highlights a recent Linux implementation. Reliability, scalability and performance parameters suggest a drastically reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Linux systems. Use of database clustering technology, active use of standby servers and other techniques for sizing Linux systems shall also be discussed.
