Solix Technologies, Inc. Appoints John Ottman as Executive Chairman

Senior Industry Executive to Lead Solix Cloud and High Growth Initiatives

Santa Clara, CA – March 27, 2012 – Solix Technologies, Inc.,a leading provider of enterprise data management solutions (EDM), today announced that John Ottman has been appointed executive chairman and will lead the company’s cloud initiative. As Solix enters a new phase of growth and leadership, the appointment brings span global management and enterprise software industry experience to Solix. Mr. Ottman will also serve as chairman of the company’s board of directors.

John Ottman brings over 25 years of industry experience to Solix. Most recently Mr. Ottman was president and CEO of Application Security, Inc., where he led the company to a leadership position in the market for database security, risk and compliance. Mr. Ottman also held key senior management roles at Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) and IBM (NYSE: IBM), as well as at high growth startups Corio, Inc. and Princeton Softech, Inc. In his 10 years at Oracle, Mr. Ottman served in various field executive positions including Group Vice President, Industrial Sector. In 1999 as executive vice president at cloud industry pioneer Corio, he led the company from startup phase to industry leadership resulting in an IPO and the acquisition of Corio by IBM in 2004. Mr. Ottman then joined IBM to manage the integration of Corio’s cloud offerings and lead worldwide sales for IBM Applications on Demand. Later Mr. Ottman joined Princeton Softech, Inc., as President, Global Operations. Princeton Softech, Inc., a high growth company and leading provider of enterprise data management software, was also acquired by IBM in 2007. Upon the acquisition Mr. Ottman rejoined IBM to run worldwide sales for the new IBM Optim product line.

Mr. Ottman is also author of the book “Save the Database, Save the World!” He holds a B.A. from Denison University.
